Akshay Kumar is Raftaar Singh, the clichéd goodhearted-but-dimwitted Sikh who likes his mum, worries his dad, and does valuable little with his lifestyle. It all goes further from top to bottom in the film’s deathly tedious second 50 percent, when the funny creates way for romantic endeavors and cheap melodrama, and then orgasms in the average "hero-saves-the-day" action schedule.

Yet with all its mistakes, Singh is Bliing isn't entirely unwatchable also because Akshay Kumar is in excellent type. He delivers a manic power to the funny, infusing Raftaar Singh with goofiness and actual likeability that remains until the end, a lengthy time after the movie has ceased being fun. I'm going with two-and-a-half out of five.
